1> How
to arrive the Albufeira
Normally who intends to come to visit Albufeira on vacations takes one of the following ways:
- by AIRPLANE:
After-landing in the International Airport of Faro to arrive at Albufeira
must travel by rented car, Taxi or through a Transfer company.
- by AUTOMOBILE:
For those departing from the airport must then follow heading
west for the A22 Via do Infante Highroad or alternatively, the EN 125. Using the A22 Via do Infante you must head for Portimão until catching a local exit towards Ferreiras - Albufeira. After is just following the road signs.
By North of the A22 or National Roads ( EN ) in Lisbon - Algarve direction (after leaving the A22 and for the exit towards Ferreiras ), they will always go in towards Albufeira,
meeting duly designated the destination.
- by TRAIN:
After arriving at the Airport you must go to Faro's train station. You must acquire the ticket for "Ferreiras-Albufeira" whose
station serves Albufeira. Once arriving a the station the path from the station to Albufeira its ensured Fond Lé the passage enters
the station and Albufeira is ensured by Buses.
Distance between airport
and Albufeira: +/- 40 kms (64 miles).

2> Traffic Information
I you choose to drive , you must choose Via do Infante or else you'll face many traffice congestions that usually occur
in EN 125.
Please note that in Portugal driving is made to right.
The speed limits are:
Highway: 120 Km/h
Outside Localities: 90 Km/h
Inside Localities: 50 Km/h
All passenger must use safety belt
at all times
Please have special attention with the children.
If you rent a
car please require a chair according to the age of your son(s) or daughter(s).
Driving under the effects of alcohol it's forbidden and will result on a fine if one is found with more than 0,5g of alcohol/L of blood.
